Options for Life is a non-profit charity organisation dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. We rely on the support of volunteers to help us achieve our mission. Here are some ways you can get involved as a volunteer:

Volunteer Project Worker

Join us in making a meaningful impact on mental health with the Sandwell Council Better Mental Health Strategy Grant Scheme project. As a volunteer for Options for Life, you'll play a vital role in supporting participants through drama sessions, Yoga and therapeutic sessions, and creative activities aimed at enhancing coping strategies and emotional resilience. Be part of a team dedicated to empowering individuals to manage their mental well-being effectively and contribute to a healthier, happier community.

Volunteer Support Worker

As a Support Volunteer, you will work with individuals with learning disabilities to help them achieve their goals and live their best lives. This may involve helping with daily activities such as meal preparation, transportation, and personal care, as well as participating in recreational activities and community outings. Volunteer Funding Bid Writer

As the Funding Bid Writer Volunteer, you will work closely with our fundraising team to research and identify potential funding opportunities, and then develop compelling grant proposals and funding bids. Click here to download the role description.

Volunteer Arts and Crafts Support

We are seeking a volunteer with a passion for art and craft to help us with our art and craft programmes. As a volunteer arts and crafts support, you will work closely with our support team managers to develop and implement creative projects and activities for individuals with learning disabilities. Volunteer Allotment/Garden Support

We are seeking a volunteer who enjoys the freedom of working outdoors. As a volunteer allotment/garden support, you will provide gardening and allotment support to our participants, helping them to engage in gardening activities and develop their horticultural skills. Volunteer Driver

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community and help those in need? Options for Life is currently seeking a volunteer driver to assist with transporting participants to community activities. As a volunteer driver, you will need to have a full driving license and be comfortable driving a minibus. Click here for role description.
