Weekly Highlights: Yoga, Pizza, Nature Walks, and More!

This past week at Options for Life was packed with a variety of activities that brought our participants joy, relaxation, and fitness! Here are some of the highlights from our busy week:


Chair Yoga and Meditation

We kicked off the week with some soothing yoga and meditation sessions. Claire enjoyed a peaceful 1-1 meditation on her arrival on Wednesday morning. She felt calm and refreshed after her time with the yoga instructor, Mel. On the same day, the participants joined in for a Healthy Minds chair yoga session. They stretched, breathed, and experienced all the wonderful benefits yoga brings, leaving them feeling relaxed and energised.


FunFit and Birthday Celebrations

Thursday was an action-packed day, as Jamie and Jason dove into a FunFit exercise session. The two worked hard and had loads of fun while staying active and healthy. The week wouldn't have been complete without some birthday celebrations! Last Wednesday, Robert celebrated his special day with his peers at Goals. They played football, enjoyed a boxercise session, and capped it off by singing "Happy Birthday" together and sharing some delicious cake. Everyone had a great time joining in the festivities!


Movie Morning and Pizza Lunch

Midweek, participants enjoyed a cozy movie morning, watching the long-awaited Inside Out 2. The movie sparked plenty of laughs and reflections. After the film, everyone enjoyed a special treat—Domino's Pizza for lunch! The slice of pepperoni on Amanda's plate looked especially tempting.


Adventure in Smethwick Park

Thursday brought a breath of fresh air as participants set off for a lovely nature walk at Smethwick Park. On this adventure, they discovered beautiful wooden carved sculptures nestled among the trees. The autumn leaves and crisp air made the perfect backdrop for this relaxing outdoor experience. The participants looked proud standing by one of the impressive sculptures.


This week has been another testament to the power of diverse activities in enriching the lives of our participants. From keeping fit to enjoying nature and celebrating milestones, there’s never a dull moment at Options for Life! Stay tuned for more exciting adventures next week.
