Welcome to our latest activity blog, where we share the exciting adventures and creative endeavours of our participants at Options for Life. It’s been a week full of fun, exploration, creativity, and hard work. Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to!

Getting Lost in Leasowes Park – A Fun-Filled Adventure

Last week, our participants had a blast at Leasowes Park, where they embarked on a thoroughly enjoyable adventure. The winding paths and lush greenery provided the perfect backdrop for some lighthearted fun. They captured countless photos to remember the day, filled with laughter and smiles.

Football Practice – Sharpening Skills and Building Teamwork

Our football team has been hard at work, focusing on improving their first touch, passing, and moving before taking that final shot. Last week’s practice was both challenging and rewarding, with all the lads putting in maximum effort. It was a fun morning that showcased their dedication to the game and their teamwork on the field.

An Afternoon in the Secret Garden

The participants enjoyed a serene and creative afternoon in the Secret Garden, where they were joined by friends from Acorn Lodge. The garden's peaceful atmosphere was the perfect setting for storytime, followed by an artistic session where everyone drew pictures inspired by the stories they read. It was a lovely, relaxed afternoon that everyone enjoyed.

Exploring Tamworth Castle

A beautiful afternoon was spent exploring the historic Tamworth Castle. Laura, Jack, and Kevin particularly enjoyed this outing, soaking in the history and charm of the castle. After the tour, they took a leisurely walk in the nearby park, where they loved the peaceful surroundings. It was a perfect day for both learning and relaxation.

Creative Crafts in the Art Room – Alice in Wonderland Theme

Last week, our participants dove into the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland by creating themed decorations in the art room. They crafted tea pots, Mad Hatter hats, playing cards, and even a Cheshire Cat! The room was buzzing with creativity as everyone brought a bit of Wonderland to life with their fantastic art pieces.

A Day Out in Birmingham City Centre

Participants also enjoyed a lively day out in Birmingham City Centre. The highlight of the trip was taking photos with the iconic bull statue in the heart of the city. But the fun didn’t stop there—they snapped many other photos, capturing the vibrant atmosphere and landmarks of Birmingham. It was a day full of excitement and exploration.

This past week has been nothing short of amazing, with each activity bringing joy, learning, and a sense of community to our participants. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to explore, create, and have fun together!
