Options for Life participants had an unforgettable afternoon at Birmingham Hippodrome, experiencing the spectacular pantomime Peter Pan! This year’s production, led by Birmingham’s very own Alison Hammond as The Magical Mermaid, had the audience completely enthralled from start to finish.
The show featured an all-star cast, including award-winning comic Matt Slack as Smee, stage and screen star Danny Mac as Captain Hook, resident dame Andrew Ryan, and Billie-Kay, who returned for her second year as Tink. Rhiannon Chesterman as Wendy and Noah Harrison as Peter Pan brought the magic of Neverland to life with incredible performances. With breathtaking special effects, dazzling costumes, and stunning sets straight from The London Palladium, it was truly a show to remember!
Participants enjoyed a wonderful coach ride to Birmingham Hippodrome, building excitement for the pantomime ahead. The journey was filled with laughter and chatter as they eagerly anticipated the magical performance.
Our participants fully immersed themselves in the pantomime spirit, cheering, laughing, and booing in all the right places! They shouted with the mermaid, laughed along with Smee’s hilarious antics, and enthusiastically booed whenever the mischievous pirate made an appearance. The energy in the theatre was electric, with applause ringing out after every fantastic performance.
Options for Life extends heartfelt gratitude to the Bruce Wake Charitable Trust for funding this incredible theatre trip, making it possible for our participants to enjoy such a magical experience. The joy on their faces was priceless, and the memories of this wonderful afternoon will be cherished for a long time.
